How it's made

Each morning the briefing reads about 155 news sources, listed on the sources page.

A keyword pass tags the school boards and schools each story mentions.

Then an AI editor (Claude, by Anthropic) selects the education stories, merges those that report the same event, and summarises each in a sentence. It may reword a headline, assign each story a topic, and flag up to five priorities.

Every summary links to the original report. The summaries come from headlines and snippets, not full articles, so read the source before quoting.

On a day the editor fails, the site shows a simplified list ordered by keywords, with a banner saying so.

Today: 6 news sources could not be reached; 70 items were set aside.
